Project Overview
Jumbo Stud Partitions were appointed to divide a large industrial warehouse in Basildon, creating a compliant, high-performance fire-rated separation within an operational facility. The client required a robust 2-hour fire-rated solution that could be delivered within a tight programme, without compromising structural integrity or performance.
The Solution
We installed our JPS120FS 2-Hour Fire-Rated Partition System, spanning 74 metres in length and reaching 10 metres in height. The system was engineered to provide both fire resistance and structural stability at high level within an industrial environment.
System specification included:
- 200mm SFS C-section studs
- Studs set at 600mm centres
- Two layers of 12.5mm JPS Robust performance boards each side
- Full system build-up tested to achieve 120-minute fire resistance
Key Challenges
- Delivering a 10m-high partition safely and efficiently
- Working within a live warehouse environment
- Maintaining programme certainty on a two-week schedule
- Ensuring fire compliance across a large uninterrupted span
Project Outcomes
- 74m x 10m fire-rated dividing wall completed in just two weeks
- Achieved certified 2-hour fire performance
