Integra ME Industrial Units – Maidstone, Kent

To support fire compartmentation requirements within a modern industrial development, our team delivered a high-performance internal fire partition using the JPS60CP Composite Panel Partition System. The installation provided a robust 60-minute fire-rated separation between units while maintaining a clean, durable industrial finish suitable for a busy logistics environment.

The project formed part of the development at Units F1–F3 and G, Integra ME, Bircholt Road, Maidstone, Kent, where internal divisions were required to separate warehouse and operational spaces in compliance with fire safety regulations.

Project Overview

The solution utilised JPS60CP composite stone wool core panels, installed vertically to form a continuous fire-rated partition. These panels provide both fire integrity and insulation performance while offering a smooth, pre-finished steel face that eliminates the need for secondary finishing.

The wall was integrated with existing structural elements including steel columns and adjacent blockwork construction, ensuring a continuous fire-rated barrier across the full separation line. The installation also incorporated specialist head restraint details and fire batt sealing around structural steel to maintain the required fire performance.

Installation Approach

The partition system was designed to integrate efficiently with the building structure while maintaining fire performance across all junctions.

• Vertical installation of 125mm composite fire-rated panels
• Head restraint system allowing structural deflection while maintaining fire integrity
• Mineral wool fire batt sealing around structural steel elements
• Aluminium head flashings and sealed base channels for a continuous fire barrier
• Trimming and flashing around structural columns for a clean, professional finish

The lightweight composite system allowed rapid installation while delivering the required fire resistance and long-term durability in a warehouse environment.
